MIA from the blogging world

So, i've been way out of the whole "blogging" phenomenon for quite a while now. Lately, i've felt i needed to not only get back to writing, which is lacking terribly as well but also to blogging which i love doing you know when i make the time to do it.

It's FOOTBALL SEASON again :) Anyone who knows me knows how excited I am about this. I get my Saturday and sometimes Sunday schedule back to sitting on the couch all day. The Buckeyes played their first game Saturday against Akron, we won! Of course, this season is off for me since I don't have my favorite #12 Sanzy, but i've found a deeper love for Stoneburner that was masked by Dane's awesomeness last year. We shall see where this season takes us.

My first official "welcome back blog" will be posted soon, i think, maybe you know if i decide to post it. Anyway, it'll be about the new CMA Nominee announcement that was made yesterday and my love/hate relationship with their choices.

As for now, it's back to home work. Senior Year, oh boy.

New Artist Alert: Jordyn Shellhart

Jordyn Shellhart is a 16 year old high school junior who also just so happens to be signed with Columbia Nashville a branch of Sony Music Nashville. Behind her amazing music is a genuine, down to earth, amazing, sweet, talented, inspiring and relatable teenage girl who gets it. She's wanted to be a country singer since she was young and she's done everything in her power to get to that point. She's gained quite a fanbase over the years and is already turning important heads in Nashville. She's got a bright future ahead of her. One thing that I find really special about Jordyn is she is going to finish High School before putting her full attention on her music career.

I've had the pleasure of meeting and seeing Jordyn preform a couple times now and if you think her voice blows you away on the record you should see that girl play those songs live. Her voice is so powerful and you can feel her emotion as she pours her heart and soul into her songs. Plus, she is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She honestly cares about her fans and she relates to them perfectly since most of them are her age. But don't let her age fool you anyone of any age can relate to her lyrics.

For her first album In A Room she co-wrote every song on the album. You don't hear about an artists co-writing every song on their debut album every often and especially at Jordyn's age, but she has the talent to do it.

When you think of the topics that a young girl would write about you would think they would all be about young love, right? Well Jordyn breaks that stereotype, sure there are love songs on the album but her lyrics go deeper than that take the songs she has written like "Save The Neighborhood" "Heaven Knows" "I've Been There Too" "Homecoming" and "My Generation", all songs about deeper realistic subjects. I think that's what makes everyone fall in love with Jordyn and her songwriting at a deeper level is that she writes a song for every situation and every stage of your life. Going through a rough time or having a really good day? There's a Jordyn Shellhart song that fits.

Her voice is so pure and honest just like her songwriting. Of all the females in Country music, Jordyn Shellhart is at the Number 1 spot on my list. I guarantee within the next few years she will take over the country music world. She's already played the Grand Ole Orpy (on her 16th Birthday, what a great gift right?).Make sure you get to know this amazing girl, you'll regret it if you don't!

That's When You Find Yourself

So I found the need to write a blog all about Brad Paisley, I can hear an UGH from some of you, sorry I love that man. I know I talk about him way too much and listen to his music constantly, oh yeah and have this outrageous hope that one day I will meet him. Ok so the chances of that seem to be 1 and a billion but A girl can dream right?

Well lets start with this I think he is the greatest thing in country music today. Ok fine i'm really biased and my love him him is way too extreme but I can't help it. I've only had this crush on him since I was six (which I'll be 17 on Sunday so you do the math *pun intended*)

Now that brings me to my next topic, actually this wasn't supposed to be my next topic but I'm always unorganized, anyway with my birthday being Sunday I've had this crazy dream since last year a few weeks before my birthday I was going to try and get a birthday tweet from Brad. That didn't happen, I was heartbroken then got over it...kind of. I continued to try and get a reply from him all the way until Jan 22, my first Paisley concert. As you guessed I still haven't gotten that reply so what am I doing again? Trying for that birthday tweet. Yeah I've been told a few times that I've lost my mind. But whatever I'll get that tweet along with a meet and greet one of these days. (If you'd like to tweet Brad telling him to tweet me I wouldn't mind, my twitter is @annamoore3701)

Now back to the main purpose of this blog, I more or less just wanted to point out why I love Brad as much as I do, you see I get asked why I idolize him as much as I do so I thought I might as well blog about it.

Reason #1: His songwriting. Have you really listened to his lyrics? I mean REALLY listened to them? All of them, from every song he has ever released? Well I have and I can say he is one of the greatest songwriters in the industry in my opinion he can go from songs like Celebirty and that comical feel to a love ballad like Then, most writers have one main topic they cover but brad on the other hand can do it all. He is a genius in my eyes.

Reason #2: His voice. He has an amazing voice live or recorded. I mean that's enough said there.

Reason #3: His live show/Stage presence. Brad has always said he wants to make sure when you come to a show you get your money's worth and that my friends is exactly what he does. He runs all over the stage while singing and shredding guitar. Well worth the money and travel.

Reason #4: His guitar playing. I don't think i've ever seen anyone play like Brad can. I've always wanted to learn how to play one of his songs but i've always been too intimidated to try. haha. He is my inspiration for picking my guitar back up and playing it.

Reason #5: His personality. He is so grateful for all the he has and seems like one of the sweetest guys on earth. I mean what other guy is going to write songs like Then, She's Everything and I Hope That's Me? *Swoon* He is still the same guy he was when he was living in West Virginia before he hit it big and I love that about him.

Reason #6: His looks. I left this for last because honestly, yeah he is gorgeous but that isn't what matters to me. It's just another things to add to his amazingness. That smile and those brown eye.

Of course me being well me, I could go on and on about how much I love him and why but this blog is getting long already. So i'll leave you with one of my favorite songs that inspires me daily. Brad Paisley singing Find Yourself from the CARS soundtrack. Now take the time to really listen to the lyrics to this song. It makes me cry every time I listen to it. I can relate to it on a whole different level than the rest of the songs that he has written. So well written, hits close to the heart.

New Artist Alert: William Michael Morgan

I love finding new talent that not many people have been exposed to yet. Well, I didn't just find him I've actually been a fan of his for about 2 and a half years now and I must say he just keeps getting better and better. Over the past few years I've seen him grow musically and I'm just as impressed with his talent now as I was when I first heard his amazing voice. I've wrote a few new artists blogs on my past blogs but I have yet to cover that talent that is William Michael Morgan.

William Michael Morgan is a rising country artist who is no stranger to the music industry. He's been playing shows now for a few years and has opened shows for many well acclaimed artists. He has gathered quite a following through social networking sites such as myspace, facebook and twitter. He has posted many original songs over the past few years but has also posted a few covers as well, some covers you wouldn't expect from a 17 year old. After hearing his voice many listeners have stated that he has what it takes to be the next George Strait and I must say I would agree with that 100%. His voice is quite similar to Straits.

Now that we are done with the more professional side of the blog speaking on his accomplishments and such, I'm going to rant on my own personal opinion. As I stated above I am one of the lucky ones who have seen his career evolve, the fans continue to pour in bringing him all the support that he deserves. At first listen you would think that it was someone much older than what Michael actually is. Everyone I have had listen to him has been shocked when I tell them how old he is saying that he sounds very mature for his age. I think he is so talented and from talking to him online I think he is such a sweetheart. For those who have not heard any of his music you are missing out, if you like Country Music you have to go listen to him. I can promise you that you will not be disappointed he is so talented and takes the time to talk to his fans. Hopefully he will be making his way up north to Ohio so I can finally see him live and meet him, or I may just have to make my way down South sometime.

It was Enchanting to meet you...

Brian Bandas of Love and Theft is moving on to pursue other interests. Brian, you will be greatly missed by everyone in the thefthead community. Who's gonna be there for the HI MAN's? Who's going to have those powerhouse vocals that give you goosebumps and shred those epic guitar riffs? With or without love and theft Brian will go far in whatever he puts his time into. I'm sure I speak for every thefthead, Brian we wish you the best and hopefully we'll be hearing more from you musically in the future.

Now as far as Love and Theft goes, Stephen and Eric are continuing the group as a duo sure at first it's going to be weird but I'm sure whatever they have up their sleeves will be amazing, both guys are very talented and will go far. I'm curious to see how the changes will influence new music style and writing style. As heartbreaking and shocking as the news was I'm glad Brian is following his heart and doing what he feels he needs to do. I can't to see what the future brings for now new duo Love and Theft!

(So I look about 10 in that picture, but ignore that. haha)

Holly posted a very well written  blog about the issue yesterday when the news was announced  Check her blog out here:  http://letsgoliveit.blogspot.com/2010/12/im-so-glad-my-love-that-i-have-you-to.html

What if I told you that I have always loved you but never got a fair shot?

The title line is from a new Jesse McCartney song called 'One Night' that will be on his new album coming out on December 28th (shameless plug)

Anyway when I'm tired is the worst time for me to be able to write, you see I begin to let my true feelings out and I am much more emotional. Thinking of a past conversation I had withe one of my friends popped in mind tonight and I was going to quote it on facebook since I found it ironic that it came to mind when that line played. It clicked in my mind how much that line reminded me of the person my friend and I were having a conversation about. You see there was this one guy that I liked for years (ok if he was to ask to hang out I still wouldn't turn him down) well he knew I liked him, I knew he liked me but neither of us done anything about it. He's moved on and probably doesn't even remember I exist until I update facebook. Well that line explains my situation with him perfectly. I have liked him since I was pretty young but I don't think either of us gave that relationship a fair shot. Sure it was early on, going into middle school, but still.

Now here is the question, is it harder to give the relationship a try and get your heartbroken if it doesn't work out or never give it a chance and never know what could have been? Sure it may not have worked out but at least we would have given it a shot but no instead we kept silent and I missed my chance.

Sometimes the worst thing to say is nothing at all.

Dane Sanzenbacher

I would just like to take this time to proclaim my love for that man. I mean for one he is gorgeous, look at him. Now onto the fact that he is an AMAZING football player. He is always open and rarely drops any passes. He caught 3 passes today but they were big passes one that ended in a touchdown. Now to mention he's made quite a few touchdown plays this season, today made his 10th touchdown. He has definitely been one of our key players this year, when ever Pryor needed an open man he was always there. It's too bad that he is a Senior, we will be missing him for sure. I know I will. I can't wait to see where he is drafted to. He is from Toledo so of course I myself would love to see him stay here in Ohio, the Browns always need good players like Dane. ;) Now praising Dane even more, he seems like such a humble down to earth guy and he also made a video remake of Lebron's The Decision, to promote organ donation. I'll post the video below. He show off his basketball skills, his poetry skills and his humor all while taking on a serious matter. Although it is a funny video it definitely shows the seriousness of the issue as well.

How can you not love him?
